Input devices allow you to put information into your computer and tell it what to do. The two main computer input devices are the keyboard and the mouse.
A joystick is also an input device. It controls actions in a computer game. It works like a mouse. When you move the joystick to the left, the character will move left, if you move it down the character will move backwards. Joysticks have buttons — for firing, or accessing menus (used to help you perform tasks on your computer). These work exactly like a mouse or a keyboard giving instructions in a game program.
