The Mouse

Computer Mouse

Most programs are operated using a Graphical User Interface (GUI — pronounced ‘gooey’), using small pictures called icons. You can click on these with your mouse.

Pointer and Icons

The basic version of a mouse has two buttons (left and right button). The mouse allows you to control the movement of the pointer on the screen, or desktop, by pushing the mouse along a flat surface.
