Locking the Computer

If you leave your computer unattended, others may be able to tamper with your computer software or data. You can avoid this by locking your computer while you are away from it. This hides the content of your screen and does not allow any commands to be entered until the computer has been unlocked by entering the correct username and password.

The method used to lock your computer depends on the operating system in use. On many systems you can lock your computer by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, and selecting Lock this computer.
