Inputting and Storing Data

Most mobile devices offer a range of methods for inputting data, for example, touch screen, stylus, keypad and voice command. Although mobile devices are generally seen as being used for consumption these input methods also allow for the creation of products on the device, for example, documents such as text notes or email and files such as sound recording, image or video capture.

Mobile devices can be used to store and retrieve data. Various facilities are available for dealing with files, for example: create, name, open, save, save as, print, close, find. It is also possible to create and name folders and to navigate file structures using menus, tool bars, icons, scroll bars and buttons.
