Entering Data

The Active Cell is identified by a highlighted rectangle known as the Cell Pointer. The cell pointer shows you where the next thing you type will appear.

When the spreadsheet loads the Cell Pointer should be in cell A1, as shown in the example below.

Columns are identified by letter(s), e.g. B
Rows are identified by number(s), e.g. 4
The standard notation for a spreadsheet cell is letter(s) followed by number(s), e.g. B4
